Stop the Clock! 6 Months

Twenty-Two Weeks

Twenty-Three Weeks

Twenty-Four Weeks

Twenty-Five Weeks

Twenty-Six Weeks

Weight and height done at 6 month well baby check up

Weight: 19.4 lbs (83rd percentile)

Height: 28" (95th percentile)

Head: 17.5 cm (82nd percentile)

Sleeping: Nothing too new with sleeping, other than the time change (still getting up an hour early a week and a half later). Also, right after he turned 5 months, there was a week were he screamed all throughout the night (even after I would give in and put him in bed with us). Thank goodness that pasted. We are blaming teeth. Still rocking the 30 minute naps, 40 if we are really lucky :)

New Skills:
~ He can sit up by himself for little bit. He will be sitting all by himself with no problem in no time!
~ Lifting his body off the ground using his arms

He Loves:
~ Rolling all over the place (finally), especially with his stuffed doggie named "Tag."
~ He loves brother Theo. It has been so much watching the two of them together lately. Charlie loves to pull Theo's hair. Theo has been taking it like a champ.
~ Clapping! When others clap for him or help him clap he bursts out in laughter!
~ His bouncer
~ Going for runs in the stroller. He likes to sit and watch everything go by.

He Doesn't Like:
~ The size 6+ pacifiers. They make him gag.

Exciting Things We Did:
We went to the Country Barn were we got to take a tractor ride out to a pumpkin patch and pick our own pumpkins! Charlie had such a blast! Okay, lets be honest, it's a tradition we would love to keep doing, but C just wanted to nap the whole time. It will definitely be lots of fun next year when we go!

"Okay seriously guys?! I just want to nap. Stop trying to take my picture with our pumpkins!"
We made Charlie sit in one of the pumpkins we picked. He realllly did not like the pumpkin on his head, but really loved it in his mouth. :)

Is it terrible that I find the upset feelings of my child completely adorable in this picture?

We went to the cabin!

Playing cards with Grampy!

Helping him win!

We took a really long hike. It took us about three hours, which isn't too long, except when you aren't exactly sure were you are going and you have 2 tired 6 years olds, and an exhausted 3 year old. Charlie did great and really enjoyed it even though the picture may seem differently.

Wearing cousin Jackson's hat (that cousin Titus always wears)

Daddy teaching him how to play soccer already!
Charlie's first Halloween! We had Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, and Tigger! We skipped trick or treating and just went over to Grandpa and Grandma Hollinger's house.

So we bought Charlie's costume a month early at a sale. He had plenty of room to grow into when we bought it, so we put it in the closet and forgot about it until we got to the parking lot and went to put it on. Let's just say it was a little to small...but we got it on... and then we had to cut it off. Parent fail. No worries though! Our little Pooh Bear was A-OK. ;)

We had a hard time getting a good photo

Thankful for a daddy that will "dress up" too

Pooh needs honey, right?

Charlie is 5 Months Old!

Eighteen Weeks

Nineteen Weeks

Twenty Weeks

Twenty-One Weeks

Weight: 18 lbs. 15 oz. (Done in doctor's office, but fully clothed. We went in for delayed shots. Height was not done.)

Sleeping: C is finally sleeping through the night! Or, at least until 5:30, which I consider through the night ;) I normally just give him his pacifier and turn his mobile on and he will fall back asleep. Since we have such an early schedule most mornings we start bedtime by 7:30pm and are normally asleep by 8. Rise and shine time really differs. On Mondays and Tuesdays we need to be at my cousin's house by 6:45am. I normally just pick C up and put him in his car seat. He will normally sleep in his car seat until anywhere between 7:30-9 (I know a big difference!) Sometimes he wakes up during the transfer into his car seat and will not fall back asleep. On Tuesdays and Thursdays he normally sleeps until 7:30ish. Depending on when he wakes up I will either feed him and get him ready for the day at the office or feed him at home and get him ready at the office. However, there have been a few days where he still stay asleep. So I will let him sleep, put him in the car seat and go to work. I don't know what I am going to do when he out grows his infant car seat!

Naps are going pretty well too. He normally takes four 30 minute naps throughout the day (they are very predictable and almost 30mins to the second). However, if he is sleeping with me, he will nap up to 2 hours (even if I get up and leave him be)

New Skills: C has really learned so much this month! It is so fun to watch him become more aware and develop more of a personality. He has really learned how to reach, grab, and play with toys (his chains are still his favorite!). He still doesn't find rolling over too fantastic unless his can't-stay-on-her-back cousin Anja is around, then he likes to join in the fun. It is so funny how he never cares to roll over until he sees her doing it! He also really started to belly laugh this month! Daddy is the funniest and always gets the best giggles!

He Loves:
~ to sing
~ to play with his paci (taking it in and out of his mouth and playing with it in his hands)
~ sitting up
~ when mommy and daddy do silly things to make him smile
~ eating mommy's face (this includes, but is not limited to, sucking and biting her chin and "kissing" her cheeks
~ stomping both feet against the ground
~ watching Theo

He Doesn't Like:
~ the Nose Frida
~ He is fine before eating, but as soon as I put him in my lap and get ready to feed him, he gets very impatient.
~ his last nap of the day (around 6pm)

Exciting Things We Did:

We went camping at Watkins Glen in New York with Jon and Kali! It was a ton of fun, but very cold. The weekend started out rainy, which left us with puddles in our tent. Jon and Kali came later in the day and the sun came out and it turned out to be a beautiful and fun weekend!

We all took turns snuggling C. He loves Miss Kali :)

First jeans and shoes!

It was very cold! We really had to bundle up at night - that includes wearing socks on C's hands!

We helped at the last Jack Reich Memorial Fund Golf Tournament (which really meant just taking selfies together :-P )

We watched high school sweethearts Nina and Dylan tie the knot! This guy did awesome at the wedding! The wedding started later than we thought so he nursed in the middle of the ceremony with no problem. We then put him to bed at the reception where he slept for three hours next to a loud speaker while mommy and daddy had some wedding fun!

Some More Pictures:

First time in a Bumbo

Anja loves to roll over, even if it is on top of someone else!

Outings with these two are fun!

Grabbing and reaching for toys

Daddy time :)
 Brother Theo is the best!

First time in an entertainer!

A Note to C: Charlie, someday I hope we can read through these memories together, and when we do I want you to know that I love that you so completely much! I love how you always have a smile to offer everyone - no matter how you feel. I also love when you smile so big that it seems like it's about to burst out of your little body. You are definitely my smiley guy and I love you so much! Being your mama is seriously the best.

Charlie's personality has really come out this month! It is SO fun to watch him grow and learn, even if it is happening WAY too fast! I can not believe that this time next month he will be closer to his birthday than his birth day!
