| Our Route! |
We are headed on a three week long road trip! We are leaving May 24th and getting back June 16th! At the ripe ol' age of 19 the only thing on my bucket list was to travel to the west coast and back and live in the back of a pickup truck. YOLO, right? :) Now, a few years later, I get to do it with my best friend and husband! (Although my bucket list is a little bit longer now, I am so excited to be crossing this one off!)
As you can see from the map, our goal and target is to spend our time in the west. Why? Because it's awesome and gorgeous. That's why. Our points of destination, God-willing, are as follows: Yellowstone National Park, Seattle, Olympic National Park, Yosemite National Park, driving along old Route 1 in Cali from Monterey to Pismo Beach, Slide Rock State Park, Grand Canyon, Zion National Park and potentially two other stops if time allows. As crazy as it sounds, most of our sleeping will be done in the back of our truck, which will have a cap over the bed and a mattress inside. We will hit up campgrounds for showers when possible. Although this wasn't originally the time planned for the trip, it is perfect because next Monday (May 27th), while in Yellowstone, we will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary and then my birthday two days later in Seattle!
